What is a CFP®

According to the Certified Financial Planner Board, a Certified Financial Planner™ “has met the education, examination, experience and ethics standards established by the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards (CFP® Board),” and “must also adhere to the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.”

It sounds very impressive and official, but what does it mean to you as a client of DiPaolo Wealth Management?

As a CFP®, Nick DiPaolo has:

  • completed the education requirements required
  • passed a two-day, 10-hour examination covering the entire financial planning process, including retirement planning, tax planning, investment management, estate planning, insurance
  • obtained the necessary experience in all aspects of financial planning to be certified
  • promises to uphold the Board’s code of ethics and standards
  • stays up-to-date on all financial planning trends and strategies through continuing education

This wide knowledge base and commitment to ethics means every client of DiPaolo Wealth Management receives comprehensive financial planning that is in their best interest.
